I absolutely love photographing Grads, and the month of May is full of them! It brings me back to the days of high school, and I so love hearing their stories. This classic beauty  is off to the University of Florida in the fall (my alma mater) and she's so excited! (Mom is too incidentally since that will put her close to home;)

One of my favorite things about my signature sunrise sessions in St. Augustine is the calm and peacefulness you feel. The pastel, light and airy colors, the untouched sand, the lighter winds, hardly anyone around. It's a perfect way to start the day. This young beauty even commented how she had never seen the sunrise!! I guess as a teen I probably didn't witness many sunrises either, haha.

When people contact me to book their graduation portraits they almost always ask where they should have them. After they have completed my client questionnaire I'll get a better sense of their personality, and their wishes for their grad portraits. If they have no preference though, I almost always suggest having their senior photos on the coast! It's just my favorite time to shoot, and I think produces classic, timeless portraits. A simple bare foot subject and a long white maxi dress is all this Grad needed. Scroll on for a few of my favorites from this session, and to see the black & white versions of some of the images.
