I absolutely love at home newborn sessions! They've always been my preference when a client contacts me wanting a newborn session, even a "light and airy" one. Any home, if you have a window, can lend to light and airy newborn portraits. My top tip when booking an in home session is to pay attention to the light typically mid morning. In most people's homes, mid morning is the best time of day for photos. In twelve years of documenting family milestones I have not once not been able to work with someone's space! I promise you, even if your home isn't "picture perfect" as they say, we can (and will) find the beauty in your home and turn your newborn session and this time in your family's story into art.

As for clothing, I actually love that Mom went with a pop of color and embraced a floral maxi! She got this dress from Spell and the Gypsy (a favorite of mine for comfortable and relaxing more boho style that flatters everyone). I highly recommend checking it out!

An important detail to this session, and really ni my humble opinion what makes these portraits so special, is that this new little bundle of baby girl joy is the first girl in FIFTY YEARS in this large family!!! 50 years. Can you believe that?! How spoiled is this little one going to be!

One of my favorite things about this session was big brother's (both two and four legged) involvement in the session, and their concern for their new baby sister. It's such so absolutely adorable to watch the interaction between siblings.
