Getting to work inside one of the beautiful and unique homes in Riverside in downtown Jacksonville is always so much fun! All of the homes in this neighborhood are different, and most still retain some of that vintage charm older homes are known for. This particular home was built in the 1930's! You could tell immediately when you walked into their light-filled sunroom that was stacked with thriving bright green plants. I instantly fell in love and new that this was the room that most of these in-home newborn portraits needed to take place. The room had this light and airy boho vibe that called out for sun-filled, film like photographs. And, when the couple wanted to incorporate their fur baby into their newborn portraits, I thought of course! That is one of the big perks of having your newborn photos done at home - you can include your four-legged first borns.

I love the light and airy vibe the sunroom gave their portraits, so I was sure to use a film preset to emulate the look of classic film portraits. I liked the classic look that green and white gave us, especially for a baby boy newborn session.
