Give me all the extended family beach portrait sessions!! I absolutely love it when people place such an importance on getting the entire family, even those far away, into the frame! When vacationing together at the beach, it's the perfect time to greet the sun and make the effort - you're already here so why not?

This particular family was such a pleasure to work with. I'm always so impressed when my ciients, especially a large group of people, arrive at their beach photo session on time, at 6am, in good moods and ready to go. It's simply amazing to me!

I loved the color choices too for this family's clothing. At sunrise, you'll typically get a warmer light so earthtones and layered neutrals work best to compliment what is happening in the sky. Also, the rocks at my favorite beach location are an almost sage green so the sage colors act as complimentary, and go perfectly to round out the color palette! You can't lose with this combination - timeless and classic. Twenty years from now these minimal portraits will look the same, which is what you want! Remember the 80's? Haha We don't want that in your beach portraits.

Fun side note about this family - Mama found me on PINTEREST! Isn't that wild? Pinterest isn't typically my first go-to with clients finding me, but this Mama was researching "What to Wear to Your Family Beach Session" and she came across a pin of mine from years back that is one of my all time most popular pins. She clicked on it, and it took her to my website. To her surprise, she saw that I was in St. Augustine Beach, Florida which is exactly where they were vacationing! Small world, and social media makes it even smaller.
