I have photographed this family on the beach in St. Augustine several times now! I love their genuine love for each other, and their ability to make themselves laugh! Dad is the best sport, and Mom always has such grace with her children. You can see their connection come through in their portraits - every time!

Even though we have done their family photos on the beach here in St. Augustine several times, we still continue to document their family here because they just love this location! We've also done sunrise beach sessions multiple times - which getting this many people polished and pulled together is a feat within itself so I applaud them!

For this session they decided to include the family dog because unfortunately she's been having health issues and this could be her last time being photographed with them. It's so important to include any family member, four legged or extended family, not just your immediate family. It's always comforting to have those memories to look back on when you're missing them. Preserving your family legacy is so important.

Don't you just love Mom's dress? This was something she actually already had in her closet and showed up to the session dressed to coordinate perfectly with her children. I had brought a few options for her for the day of our session, but turned out loving what she wore so we went with it! I love the sheer and flowy aspect of the dress, especially at sunrise when you can get those dreamy backlit images in your photos.
