If I could crawl inside a nursery and live, this would be it. How adorable is this baby girl's first space?! I absolutely love neutrals, light and airy spaces, and white (no big surprise there) so of course it was a dream photographing Baby Girl Elle's nursery, laces and sheer curtains and all. And, incidentally, Elle is also the name of my own Baby Girl so you know, great minds think alike!

What I loved most about this in-home newborn session was the simplistic, minimalist vibe. From the pale pinks and sheer whites of their classic nursery to the heirloom blankets and vintage laces, this space (and their newborn portraits) just exuded a timeless, almost Parisian elegance. Personally, this is the style I am most drawn to, so naturally this was a newborn session I really enjoyed documenting. And side note on Big Brother John's adorable smile - isn't he just the cutest?! I love his hair, and those beautiful blue eyes. John is a family name, and I'm guessing that sly little grin is a family trait too - ha! My favorite image from this session was the sly look on his face when he climbed (uninvited) into his little sisters bassinet and began to lift up the covers. That crooked little smile that he gave the camera just as I clicked the shutter was priceless. Melts my heart.
