I've had the pleasure of working with this sweet family for YEARS and YEARS now, truly! Since their eldest could fit in a bucket on a Christmas Tree farm - ha! It's truly my greatest honor as a professional family photographer when a family continues to hire me over and over again throughout the years. To watch your family grow, and to see your babies become young adults, is truly a gift and not something that I take lightly. Having my own young children, I can relate to this time in your life and I think (and hope) that it translates into something magical to preserve your family's legacy. 

This particular family always is so laid back, and when a family is laid back during their family portrait session, it translates into their images. The ease in their smiles, letting the kids play and just be themselves. It really makes the experience fun, and thoughtful.

And while all of the family photos I document for this family I love, as I get to know them and work with them through the years, I truly loved the images we captured during this session of Mama and her one and only little girl. They're just so magical to me, so light and airy. The pastel pinks, the whites, the backlight at sunrise on the water at the beach. It just says childhood to me. Innocence, right? Something about removing the distractions of bright colors, and letting the environment speak through the images makes these portraits timeless. This Mama is always one to invest in something tangible that she can get on the walls and enjoy for generations so I cannot wait to see what we do with this portrait session.
