I loved working with this sweet couple from Gainesville! They traveled all the way over to St. Augustine Beach to work with me, and I am so honored that they chose me to document their baby announcement portraits! It's so exciting to announce your very first pregnancy, and I just love that they value this milestone enough to have a professional photo session done.

When this mama-to-be contacted me to tell me she wanted to do her pregnancy announcement photos on the beach, I knew just the spot. St. Augustine Beach offers one of the most beautiful and serene settings for any kind of photoshoot, and a baby announcement photo session is no exception!

I always choose this location for its unique shoreline and breathtaking ocean views, as well as the privacy it offers my clients. We're rarely out there with a crowd, and I love the variety I can get there. This spot always creates a dreamy backdrop for client portraits.

As the sun began to set, the sky transformed into a brilliant array of hues—deep oranges, soft pinks, and rich purples—that bathed the beach in a warm glow. And speaking of glow, isn't this woman radiant? She has the best hair I've ever seen! It reminded me of a Disney princess. And I was so happy that we got a great, sunny evening that night out at the beach. It made her glow even more!

This couple was so much fun to work with, too. I posed them naturally as they shared their excitement about the upcoming addition to their family. I opted for a casual and relaxed approach to their session and always strive to make things stress-free and fun for my clients. This mama-to-be glowed in a flowing sundress, while the father-to-be complemented her in a light-colored shirt and shorts. Shorts are a great choice on the beach when you want to end the session with some splashes in the water. You won't get them wet like you would with pants, and you don't have to roll them up either. Among my very favorites from this couple's pregnancy announcement portrait session were the playful images we captured at the end in the water. And that colorful, pastel-hued sky! The image we captured at the end was such a sweet moment between these two. I hope some of these make it up on their walls for them to enjoy for years to come.
