It was such a pleasure meeting this sweet family of three! I absolutely adored photographing their little red-headed lad. I too have an auburn baby and capturing them in the fall with all of those amazing earth tones brings out their best!

For this session, my clients wanted something a little different than the beach since they're locals, so we opted for a more fall vibe and a rustic estate location. I think this photo shoot location definitely lends itself to the fall family photo shoot look, and they nailed the clothing, didn't they?! It matched this location so much so that after seeing these images I actually bought that adorable onsie from Simply Folk for my own son and plan to photograph him here later this fall! When thinking about clothing for an upcoming portrait session, you want to take into consideration the feel and style and color of the location where you'll be having the photos done. For this shoot, since it's fall, my clients went with a more rustic look and it completely mirrored certain aspects of the location! There is an image I've shared below from this session that even has the rust and weathered fence coordinating with baby's hair - perfect. I always prefer a monochromatic or analogous color palette personally; it is visually more appealing in my opinion and doesn't distract from the subject matter of a portrait session.
