This was one of those family portrait sessions that sticks with you.

When mom called me to setup their family photo session, she mentioned how important it was for them to document this time. Their family dog, Charlie, was having health issues and they weren't sure how much longer he had left. Unfortunately, I too was going through the same thing with my beloved Golden Retriever, Scout, so I knew all too well what a special kind of pain they were experiencing. 

Of course, I wanted to make this portrait session as special and as memorable as possible, so we decided to hold our session on the coast - a place that left room for Charlie to roam, and a location that had meaning to the family.

When mom called me to tell me that she was in tears watching her new family video, I couldn't help but get wrapped up in emotion myself. It's a beautiful thing what a tangible product does for a family's story, isn't it? <3
