A beautiful couple totally in love, four children and a stunning sunrise on St. Augustine's coast equals MAGIC! This is the second time I've had the pleasure of working with this amazing family. For this session, we decided to head out to the coast and play along the sand on a warm and sunny summer morning. There is something about sunrise that makes me so happy. It's definitely my preferred time to photograph my families. There are lighter winds, if any, little to no people and less humidity (a plus for long hair!). Not to mention the session isn't looming and you get it over with, leaving the rest of your day to enjoy your vacation! One of my favorite things about working with this family is always the connection they share. The love Mom and Dad have for each other is evident. The way they take direction so naturally, so organically. That is why I've shared a few of their black and white images in this post. I always feel like turning an image into a black and white one strips away the distractions and leads the viewer straight to the emotion the photograph captured. They had so many of these moments and I wanted to convey that in their final images. I take each portrait commission so seriously because as a Mom, I know how much of an effort it is to get everyone together so I want it to be worth it for you.
